Total Rating 100%. Posted February 10, 2009. While I've never owned them, I've demoed both those clubs on multiple occasions, as I almost bought some ISI-K's years ago. To me, they perform similarly, but the I3's insert gives the club a super nice, warmer, more muted sound & feel at impact. They also felt a wee bit "hotter", if that makes sense.. Posted May 31, 2015. The plastic / elastomer / whatever exactly is in the cavities of the newer models will offer a more muted feedback vs the i3's. That, along with stronger lofts will be the 2 biggest differences, IMO. I love my G25's and would also recommend those. Good luck.

Description. The PING i3 irons come in two versions an oversize (OS) set and a blade set. The OS set has larger heads that make the irons more forgiving and easier to hit consistently. The OS irons also have more offset to help square the clubface at impact. The blade set has smaller club heads and less offset to allow more control for better.. noslice. Shoots in the 80s. Model Reviewed: Ping i3 o-size irons. I recently picked up a set of Ping i3 O-size irons (3-sw) with True Temper stiff Tri-gold shafts. Apparently, these shafts were only available for one or two seasons back around 2000. From what I've read, they didn't get much love and were discontinued.
